Five ways living things use water,
One is that we all need to drink water in order to live. From the faucet or even in milk. Another one is we use water to cook, we use it to boil noodles. Living things also use water to clean them selves. Humans use it for clothes and ducks use it to clean their feathers in a lake. Living things also use water to play, dogs like playing in a lake or a pond. Living things use water to help other things, for example, humans use water to feed their pets or water plants. Power can be a good or bad thing, people can take advantage of it and seriously injure people or the economy. That's why we should limit power so bad things don't happen. But sometimes people need a little more power than others so we can also have control over bad things or people. In my opinion we should have limits on power because people will take advantage of it and do bad thing to people or an entire city! That's why it's good to have leaders like a president, or simply a police officer that can control some of the bad things that can happen when people try to take advantage of power, but that does mean people have to have more power than others to take control and try to even everything out the best as possible.
[For example, in school today we learned about a captain of a ship in the Revolutionary War time period. He took advantage of his power by punishing his crew members for no good reasons like for talking back to the captain when they didn't. They were cruel punishments like whipping. That's why it's important to limit power, so we can keep people safe. A biologist work is related to water because they want to understand how living things work. Since all living things need water, these scientist need to know how water affects life on the earth. Some biologist are called ecologist. These scientist study how the environment changes. There job is related to water because they might study the flowing of the river or how much rain has fallen. Wildlife biologists conduct research for a variety of purposes. For example, many wildlife biologists work to increase knowledge and understanding of wildlife species. They also work closely with public officials to develop wildlife management and conservation plans to ensure species are protected from threats and animal populations remain at sustainable levels. Most wildlife biologists work on research teams with other scientists and technicians. For example, wildlife biologists may work with environmental scientists and hydrologists to monitor the effects of water pollution on fish populations.
(1) Life without water would be weird because, first, I wouldn't be able to live because water wouldn't be able to hydrate my body. I would have to find different ways to wash myself and other things. It would also be hard to survive.
(2) The lives of plants and animals would be bad because plants need water in order to survive. Animals might be able to live but not for very long. Living things need water to stay health and live. (3) What we need to do in order to have water in our lives is to stop polluting so we have clean water to drink. We could some how recycle water and clean it and reuse it in order to save it. Also we could use it less such as showering. (4) Water is an interesting topic because it's more than what you think. It has more properties than just wet, cold, and clear. It's a lot more than stuff we drink. It can do a lot more stuff than you think. (5) It's important for scientist to study water because, we need to learn about what technically "rules the world" because almost everything needs it to live. Scientist should study it because it is also very interesting compared to other things. I think they should study how Marty and Ian: month Facts, very instructional and informational. They told us things i never Knew about the months of the year! there are only 28 days in February because of a roman king! A perfect presentation! I learned a lot. our calendar names are from roman root words. Most of the month names came from kings and princes! A+
Corinne: very formal, i liked how she told us a lot about inspiration for the books. She did very well I just hope that anyone doing something like her would add a little more than just words. Dakota and Ryan: it's not very informational, they don't tell how people got inspired. They do get to the piont were it answers there question. Sound: When I poured water from my cup into my friends cup I hear a smooth sloshing, relaxing noise. It was like a small water fall or like rain drops. The noise made me feel like I was in the water splashing and playing. The water sometimes made almost no noise.
Sight: When I shook the water back and forth it circled around almost like jello. When I put it down on the table and did a "drum roll" it made little ripples in a circle formation. When I set my water down and look through it i could see the patter of the table it makes it look bigger or magnifies it. When I pour the water into another cup of water it creates little bubbles for only awhile. Smell: It smells fresh and somehow sweet. It's hard to describe. When you smell it you know it's water though like it has some sort of metallic pang to it. Taste: it tastes like like an original that no other taste has. it's fresh and clean it also is refreshing. Feel: It feels wet, but it kind of wraps around your hand not going through it, it feels colder than you think. the water doesn't come off right away but drips down your hand. How is ice different? Ice is colder, it's also a solid not a liquid it's formed from a liquid though. How is water vapor different? The vapor is cold, and like air but is a bit wetter When I was 9 we went to our cabin in the summer. Since it was hot we took the boat out to the lake. I love to knee - board so I wanted to go first. I jumped of the boat and my dad handed me the board. When I pulled myself up and got my knees into place, I was sure to put the strap on really tight. Then I grasped the handle out of the water witch was connected to a rope that was connected with the boat. My dad started the boat and I was off!
After a few minutes of riding I lost my grip on the handle and plummeted into the water. My hands were grasping for the strap on the board. My legs flung over my head with the board on them ducking my head under water. I tried swimming to were my dad stopped the boat. Then I felt hands on the straps as they were ripped of my legs. When the board was off I turned around and there was my dad. I rushed into his arms and started balling. Then he put me back into the boat while my mom wrapped me up in a towel, my legs hurt really bad from them being held over my head at first I couldn't even walk! |
