So in conclusion, I think that the captains should have some of the same power but with limits on it.
I think that the captain's limits on power should be that they should only be allowed to whip the crew if it is something really severe that they did, like for example getting into a fight with another sailor or rebelling. The captain would still have some of his original rights but with limits so he won't endanger the voyage. I think it is pretty unfair that they allow the captain to take away the rights of the sailors. It makes sense to punish them if they are slacking or being lazy or talking back, but I think that they should just punish that with more, harder work and not whipping.
So in conclusion, I think that the captains should have some of the same power but with limits on it.

Water always finds a way out.
-Cameroon, West Africa You can never contain water. For the benefit of flowers, we water the thorns, too. -Egypt, North Africa Two waterfalls do not hear each other. -Kenya, East Africa The horse that arrives early gets good drinking water. -South Africa Do not insult a crocodile while your feet are still in the water. -South Africa Heaven is dark and yet out of it streams clear water. -Afghanistan, Southwestern Asia I think the people make proverbs about water because water is endless. It is all around us, even in us and we don't notice it in our everyday lives. Water is neither created nor is it destroyed, it is endless. It will always be here even if we aren't. I think we should get feedback as to how good our projects are. We should get some nice comments and maybe sometimes bad as to help us make our websites better. We should get
(1) Life without water would be crazy. Everyone would fight over water and once all the water is consumed or used then everyone would die. It would be like survival of the fittest sort of.
(2) The lives of animals and plants would be really hard. They would really have to adapt to living without water or they would die. They would probably have to get the minerals in water from leaves and grass, but even then where would the leaves and grass get the nutrients and the water? (3) To keep the water in our lives we would need to save the earth. We need to protect our water sources so that we don't all die because we used up all the water. You don't want to die, do you? (4) I think that water is an interesting topic because even if we all think we know about water, I can bet you that you don't even know half the stuff about it. I think that it is an interesting comment because I think it is just really interesting. You should try to learn more stuff about water too. (5) It would be important for scientists to study water so they could tell what nutritional values it has in it. They could tell if it is dangerous and bad for us or healthy and good. I think that water is a really important factor of all our lives. Sound: When I poured the water into my cup I could here water hitting the other water and it sounded like running water going over rocks in a stream. The water made like a little thu-wump sound, sort of like one single raindrop falling into a lake.
Look: It magnifies the stuff behind it when you look through the watery part. It makes little rainbows that I can see. It also looks very shiny on the top. When you slosh the water around a little it makes these tiny little columns of water jump up out of the now wavy surface. When the water calms down a bit and there are just little waves going back and forth you can see how the light reflects off the top of it. The one thing that I think is amazing is that even when you slosh water on the top underneath the water still looks still. Smell & Taste: The water smells like a clean lake. It also sort of smells like faucet water. It tasted so ordinary but still very clean and refreshing. Feel: It sort of feels wet but when I took my hand out the water clung to my hand for a little before little drops of water formed and started running down to my finger tips till it finally reached the end and fell off soundlessly back into the cup. I immediately noticed that the water temperature was a lot colder when I took it out of the cup. I couldn't believe water could fell so good. Ice: I noticed that the ice was a lot colder than the regular water. Right when I picked it up it started melting. Water Vapor: It smelled horrible. It was a lot colder than I thought it would be and it was really weird. Once I went to my uncle's lake house, and the house was really close to a super clean freshwater lake. After we got settled in, we went out to the lake and of course my uncle had about a million boats at the dock he owned and he asked me to choose one of them. Well of course I chose the fastest one he had. It also had its own little space where you can lock a jet ski in(he had one in at the time). When he started up the engine and stepped on the gas the boat jerked forward with a sudden burst of speed. It felt like when your at the very top of a roller coaster and you stop at the top and then have a big shunt as it goes downward. I told him to go as fast as it would go and by the time we were up to full speed we were bouncing up and down on the waves. My brother said to slow down so he could go on the jet ski next to us. So he unlocked the jet ski and turned it on then he said to my uncle to go forward so he could get out. Soon after that he was riding next to us as we were going back to the docks. Finally we were on our way back to the lake house to
My hero is Paul Revere and we all know who Paul Revere is. He was the one who did the midnight ride across Boston warning everyone about that the British Redcoats were coming. Without him doing his midnight ride no one would have known that the British Redcoats were coming. Who knows what would have happened if he didn't make that midnight ride. Mr. Solarz made us do this project so we could learn about what kind of stuff the people way back when there were still only 13 colonies did. We researched and researched and while we did that we were learning more and more stuff about our people that we were researching.
Some activities were harder than others for breathing through the wide straw. For example, the one where we had to do the jumping jacks while breathing through the wide straw was really hard. The reason was because the straw would get really stuffy and hard to breathe through. I think breathing through the wide straw made it harder to breathe because it got really moist from all the in and out breathing, that it clogged the straw. I think that breathing through the thin straw affected a lot of people including me, because after we finished the thin straw experiment everyone was gasping for air. My breathing changed when I got more active because my body needed more air to keep up with my pace so I wouldn't collapse from exhaustion.
